Testing & Services
A neurological exam evaluates your nervous system through a series of tests that measure your motor function, sensory function, cranial nerves, mental status, and reflexes.

Some of the most common tests we perform are below.
Ambulatory EEG
An ambulatory electroencephalography monitors the brain’s electrical activity through the skull. It is used to help diagnose disorders that affect the brain’s activity. This painless, risk-free test can last 24, 48, or 72 hours. This test allows us to monitor your brain waves while you are awake and asleep.
EMG/NCS
Electromyography (EMG) measures the health of the your muscles and the nerves that control your muscles. This is done by evaluating the electrical activity levels in the muscles while resting and while contracting.
A Nerve Conduction Study examines how well your nerves are functioning. This is done by measuring the speed and velocity of the electrical signals produced by your nerves.
Routine EEG
An electroencephalography, or EEG, monitors the brain’s electrical activity through the skull. It is used to help diagnose seizure disorders and metabolic, infectious, or inflammatory disorders that affect the brain’s activity activity. This painless, risk-free test can be performed in our office and usually lasts 1-3 hours.
Neurocognitive Testing
Neurocognitive Testing assess your brain's cognitive functions, such as memory, attention, language skills, visual and spatial awareness, as well as problem-solving skills. This can be done through a variety of different non-invasive, risk-free tests. These tests are compared to other people your age and against yourself at different points in time.
Autonomic Function Testing
Autonomic Function Testing measures how well your body's autonomic nervous system is working in certain situations. Your autonomic nervous system controls bodily functions you don't need to think consciously about doing, such as, heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, and temperature control.
Stroke Studies
Stroke studies to help us understand what caused your stroke, as well as, ways to prevent, detect, and treat the condition. We treat your stroke by finding meaningful medical therapies and effective, advanced interventions to stimulate your brain and to help you rebuild your life.
